This extravaganza of film and live performance details Jim and Heinz's travels to the future, time spent with a giant robot named Zantrox, and what it would be like if the video game Monkey Ball was actually real life. Matinee screening will be followed by Q&A with the filmmaker. Alex Itin, a New York-based filmmaker, writer, performance artist, and painter, was a favorite of DFF09. This program of short films shines features painstaking animation, video diaries, and dramatic literary adaptations. $6 each or both for $10 Sunday, March 7th at Artist Television Access [map] Community Director at Vimeo.com, Blake Whitman watches a lot of videos, and so he knows a thing or two about what makes a good film. In this workshop, he'll go over everything from basic shooting techniques, editing styles, and instruct how to stitch photos together to create an animation (known around the interwebs as photomotion). Class starts at noon and breakfast is provided. Free! We'll then move straight into the World Premiere of Buttons Vol 2, a full-length disposable film by New York's own Red Bucket Films!
